I was wondering if the trusty EK came with 2 speed wipers. I have noticed my wiper switch has 2 positions ( as well as off for the smart AS@#S), and just want to know. By the by the 2nd position does nothing at all except stop the wipers So I have off on and off

You later fitted 2 sp wipers. My FB has a two speed switch (prob. from a far superior EK), and the second on position seems to make the wipers go a fraction faster than the first on position. I wish one was intermittant and one as is though, because it would make driving in the rain tolerable when its just too fine to need full speed wipers and you have to keep turning them on and off.

Regardless, my wipers are so crap I don't drive in the rain much and I want to remove them and fit chrome bullets anyway

Try some rainex, once above 50mph you don't need wipers at all!!

Haha I just got some last week after hearing you suggest it. I haven't been in any serious rain yet, but a slight sprinkle on the way to church last weekend hit the car and it did seem to work wonders

I have found that a light coat(spray about 2 feet away) of cheap tyre shine from autocheap works wonders ,no need for wipers anymore!!

Andrew, My wiper blades sit on my parcel shelf for when the boys in blue want to harass me. I run the bullets on the wiper stalks and rainex the windscreen. We've had quite a bit of rain lately and the only time I have problems seeing is when I'm stopped at the lights.

Mine on the EK are also 2 speed, though you cant tell one from the other........they seem the same speed.

I've only driven it in moderate rain, but I find the wipers to be quite adequate. I suppose I won't be saying the same thing if I ever get caught in a monsoonal downpour.

Though I try not to take it out if it looks like it's gonna rain

On a sort of similar topic, is there any stuff you can buy to put on the windows that stops them fogging up?

The rear window in mine has fogged up a few times......not the easiest thing to try and wipe with the venetian there

FogX? I think there is a product by the same company that exists? Black bottle instead of yellow bottle?

you could try a product you can buy from most bike shops called cat crap. its used for helmet visors and works a treat, not sure about it with tint though.
