hi everyone .FIRST QUESTION. ive got a fb wagon i wish to install extractors. but my car has had a hr front end and a 179 installed.i have checked locally and they dont make a set to fit with the red motor because i am currently running the standard three speed and this gearbox has supports at the bellhousing which later holdens didnt have does anyone know where i can get a set to fit off the shelf or do i have to modify the set i have got off a torana . SECOND QUESTION.
option two is to install a 4 speed on the floor wouldi use an m20 or m21 for example and can i adapt the rear mount support on the cross member instead of the front ones on the 3 speed andcan u see any dramas doing this . thankyou heaps sorry it is so long

Regarding extractor question, I'm sure you can buy them for an FB/EK using red motor and original grey box but I may be wrong.I'm about to put a 149 into EK sedan using Orig grey box so I'll be making same enquiries as you soon. Anyway look up some websites like Genie,Pacemaker etc and see how you go.If I find anything in meantime I'll let you know. SECOND QUESTION I havn't done a 4 speed conversion but plenty have so someone else may be able to answer but I'd guess the 4 speed fits with rear box mount member mods.This would probably give more room for red extractor fitment as you wouldn't need the rear engine mounts anymore. fb mad i found that pacemaker do make a set for fb's with a red conversion thanks for your help
