There are 9 port heads and 12 port heads, don't think they will interchange though :?: .ie- 9 port 'stractors for 9 port heads and 12 port 'stractors for 12 port heads.

Someone here will confirm whether I'm right or not :? :? :?

Hi
Extractors off a red motor will not fit a blue motor. The stud positions in the head are in different positions.
Kind regards, Steve

Yeah, from memory the early crumbledoors ( VB,maybe VC ?? ) were 3.3 reds ??

Troy, if I could find my 50 years of Holden book I'd be able to tell you what engine number prefix ZL is but can't find it.I've got an idea that it might be a VH engine perhaps.

Someone here will know...... forum member DR TERRY would definately know.

Just did an internet search for ya Troy.

ZL engine prefix is a late HZ Holden engine so it's really a red motor.

If its painted blue have a scratch under the blue paint and you'll probably find some red paint there.
