i today driled several holes through inner sill,, enough to feed a hose with a spray tip in there ,about 1 foot apart,, and fed heaps of fish oil in there to keep the old girl from hidden nastys later ,,,,,did it to my ute as well
my best asset says i must of gone fishing and not to work
stinks mate
when they start building them like that again i will buy a new car of them
Found a good alternative to fish oil-drill two 1/2" holes under scuff plates then plug drain holes with rags and fill sills with sump oil.Simply drain oil back into ice cream buckets (or cake tins if you are really low!) and voila-long term rust protection!
Hows the smell of sump oil in the car when driving ?
Ive heard to use fish oil with kero and it will keep rising up in the cabin into the gutters n all.
New a bloke who had a few cars Terraplane, chev roadster old jag FJs and FCs he would coat the floors ect with a mix of body deadner thinners and engin oil dont know if it smelt or not but they were all in good nick
The under side of my car would have to be the most rust free car around, after the $100 worth of oil that went in the engine and then blew out the breather cap and coated the entire under side of my car, on the way to and from the Yamba Nationals , Trev
