red motor bolt torque settings.

i have a red 186 out of a ht and i need to know the conrod bolt, crankshaft and rocker torque specifications. can anyone help? i haven't got a workshop manual yet to find out but i'm impatient.

Are you using adjustable rockers or non adjustable?

non adjustable (standard)

I'll have to give you the info tomorrow arvo as the shop manual is in the shed and I'm off to the fart sack now for some Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

no worries, thanks heap.......... yeah my boss would kill me if i went out playing with engines at this time of night, its bad enough me being on here finding things out about the car when i could be sitting watching a movie with her. my bad

From Gregorys workshop manual HQ-HZ.
Conrod nuts:- 26 ft/lb
Crankshaft main bolts:- 70 ft/lb
Rocker arm pivot bolts ( non adjustable rockers ) 28 ft/lb
Cyl head bolts:-
1st stage:- ( start at centre of head and move outwards ) 30 ft/lb
2nd stage:- 75 ft/lb
Thought I'd throw in head bolt torque settings as well
If your torque wrench doesn't show ft/lbs the conversion is :-
1x ft/lb = 4.45 NM ( Newton Metres) and 1 x NM = 0.225 lb/ft.
