commodore discs on hq stubs

hi just wondering if anyone can tell me if commodore discs and calipers fit on hq stubs with hr front.are there any clearance issues. is it better to use hq type

i have commodore disks on mine but i used
hq pbr cast iron calipers with no dramas not sure
about the commy calipers how they fit if there any different

ok thanks jay. i ended up just buying girlock alloy calipers off a wb so should be ok and will hopefully be able to use commodore discs

commodore calipers will bolt on after the sliders have been modified

guys what model comodore disks are u using .
hey ipg what model commodore calipers are u refering to when u said u modified the sliders to fit i just scored a vn lsd rear end $200 and he said he has the whole car if i want any other parts so i didnt know if vn would fit on the fb or am i better off sticking with a hq-wb caliper

the discs are vt 296mm ones, so they have separate hubs, can go up to 343mm discs(if caliper adaptor plates are used)
look at the pic where the caliper mounting holes are, you can see that the slider is redrilled to suit the hq stub
im using crs hq drop stubs now so i can now use a standard vt caliper.
i guess it depends on how low and how many ponies you have under the hood...

Sorry for bumping the thread but, how have you found the CRS stubs? heard lots of bad shit about them (out of round, not square to backing, etc etc) i've got the stubtech ones on my tonner. when i spoke to the bloke from there he told me about the probs CRS had with their machining. Stubtech was also 150 bucks cheaper

I have had a set of CRS drop stubs fitted to my FE for a few years now, never had any trouble. The car has travelled a few thousand miles including trips from Adelaide to Philip Island and Adelaide to Mt Gambier without any stub axle incident (don't mention the trans

).
Poor form for Stubtech to hang shit on a competitor, they should leave that to disgruntled customers.

I don't want to tell stories out of school but I have been talking with a fabricator up here in Sydney and he tells me that CRS had there stubs made off shore and there was a batch that were not quite right

. He has another supplier and said he can get them for about $550 to $600 a set. Is this a good price for them

( depending on quality of course and where they are made).
What paper work do I need to have for engineering in NSW and or QLD.

Was't bad mouthing them as such, just commenting about the bad batches they had. had lots of pople complaining to him about it. I think the CRS ones are made in asia some where. The Stubtech ones came with a full 12 page engineering and stress test report and are legal in all states and are mde in Aus

NSW-Paper work, is standard old rego, proof of ownership + receipt of purchase and weighbridge ticket.
