Well.. i've negotiated and am in the process of buying a HR sedan for a parts car for my EK.. but along with the car comes these parts..
Another 186 with YT head, big Cam of some sort, Pistons, Hydrolic or Solid Lifters, some big name pistons ect that used to be pretty tough..
One set of Tripple SU's.
One set of Twin Carbies with a Twin Carby Manifold for a Grey
One Alloy Finned Rocker Cover for a Grey..
Now my question is.. What would Tripple SU's be like with the above motor.. as a daily car?

Gday Nick
If the carbys are set-up properly and you have the right combination
of engine parts to suit, get it dyno tuned, it will be fine.
Cheers

Something an apprentice would spend all his money on trying to keep fuel in!!!!!
But fun driving it

i think everything listed there can work fine PROVIDED the cam is suitable for the street!!

It'll cost me in fuel to run the thing.. but i'll be 2nd year with another $100 at least a week by the time its on the road.
Damn.. i can't wait.

you won't have an extra hundred if it's a daily driver

Heh.. it'll be fun though
Apparently triples make a cool noise when you rev em and they suck air in.. true?

And if your not putting fuel in it you'll be tuning the sucker....
But yes the induction noise is pretty good
My old hot 6's ran an Edelbrock 500 on a 2" spacer, very low maintenance and some form of economy if I kept my foot out of it.

for a red you can get the manifolds you will need some engine work for it to be worthwhile though, they do work a treat though

i reckon if the triples are setup right and you don't drive like a maniac you can get reasonable economy out of them ... its just they inspire you to use more fuel

I suppose a four speed box won't help my economy either.. the sound of smashin it back a gear and bootin the shit outta the accelerator.. with the sound of a nice motor, triples and a good exhaust..
Mmm.. Its like Red motor heaven
