I have a Fc but all the same in this area.i have a exhaust up each side of the tank, i was thinking of running it behind the rear wheel well but it will get pretty dirty there.

Could you make a sheild to cover it? Something easy to remove, incase of repairs. Trev 8) .

that would work but my exhuast splits into two and wraps around the back of the tank leaving no room.

Used to run a mallory pump on one of my old 4X4s just cable tied a bit of 2mm rubber over it not to tight so air would still circulate around it kept it fairly clean even with the abuse

Bugger! What about the inside of the sill in front of the wheel arch? Fuel line has to run there anyway.

but the pump can be run on its side can't it ... so have the bottom of the pump up against the inner sill and the cylindrial bit pointing in towards the tailshaft.
