As passed on to me by one of the guys supporting the new Port Adelaide Motorsport Complex.
I am not sure of the significance or where it goes from here, but at least they know about us now.
It's probably best/easiest to download and read than trying to read it online.
Mark Butler is the Federal Representative for Port Adelaide.
Mark Butler Drag Racing speach to Federal Parliament can be viewed at http://www.aph.gov.au/hansard/reps/dailys/dr030608.pdf - page 108 (124 on the pdf page counter).

Funny you say that couple of months ago the was a guy done for the 3rd time in punchbowl in a gtho &*#@ the ones that are worth big bickys and i dont think he got it back or he did but it was the size of a wheel barrow...Thats the reason i got rid of my turbo charged rice burner to much hassle from the police.Well you could lift the front right hand wheel off the ground so you just had to use the power :)

If true and the GTHO owner  was being a dickhead and drag racing/excessive speeding or whatever in suburban streets then he deserved to get his car back "the size of a wheelbarrow"( and more) as far as I'm concerned.

Too many innocent people including kids are resting in a dark box six foot down due to F&#kwits like that  .

Same applies for drink drivers  .

It wouldn't be a nice job to knock on someones door to tell them their child/mum/dad/gramps whatever won't be home tonight...EVER

Life is a lottery ... don't know when your number comes up.

It's one lottery that I don't like to see anyone haveing an increased chance of winning.

For the record,I love drag racing......off the streets on legitimate strips in controlled professional environments.

I'm all for 'em.( steps down off soapbox  )

Apologies for getting a bit off topic.
