Hi I think all flash kits are sexy. If anyone has a FB one PM me. That wagon looks great. Bit hard growing up in the Sunny community and not loving flash kits. That kit flips my wig. A three tone FB all the way I say. I like to know more about it. 8) 8)

I concur. Much better without the standard FB flash kit.

Tim need to cut whats left shorter and shorter until......you get a harley. You may need one having three daughters and a sh_t neighbour. As for the jive talk I watch that movie CRY BABY too much. I still really like that kit and I agree with Ratbox it has a Customline look to it. What I like the most is that someone took a risk back in 1960 trying to spin cats out. Years ago Sunny twins and I went to visit this guy called Don Campbell who had a business call Campbells car sound on Logan Rd at Underwood. If you have seen this shop with a radio cassette front 3 metres high 10 metres long. It has been there for years. We used to drive by and admire his cars he always had finned American cars. At the time he had a satilite yellow 60 chev and 59 El Camino and we heard he was making strato fins. We pulled in to see him and showed us pictures of a FB he owned near new back in the sixties. It was satilite yellow with a white flash with a Californian flash with a plastic leapord skin insert. At this point you probaly think I take drugs I kid you not. Sunnytims Cameo EK standard sedan had the remains of plastic insert under his flash kit moulds. To summerize I love it when you find about wacky stuff about our favourite cars.RIP Don Campbell 8) 8)

Theo no man. Still know that guy who has a mould that pumped 10 sets in 90's and all a sudden all these cars in the rock'n'roll scene had them. Think I can remember a Wintersun (1993) where all of those cars were lined up with strato fins mainly XM XP falcons,Galaxies think there was one FB. Wintersun was a massive piss up for me wish I had taken photos. Have got photos from one of the first Wintersuns will post one of these days 8) 8)

What an absolute blast from the past! I just googled FB Wagon to encourage a colleague to buy one and saw my old car and was thinking: "How the hell did that get on the internet??!" haha

This is a super old post but for those who may see it, I thought I would tell you about that car. I bought that car when I was about 19 (in 1997) from a guy for $3,500 as is. I put a better stereo in it and tinted the windows (typical 19yr old) and drove it to and from work in Nowra for a while. It had immaculate interior. The paint was ok and the dark blue and white sections had a purple pearl over it. (I didn't do it so don't blame me!). It had the old 138 grey motor and a single stromberg carb. It was flat out doing 100km from Gerroa to Nowra haha. It had a lot of the original Nasco accessories like mirror, scuff plates under the door handles and that big chrome stipe panel etc.

Being a family that has had over 100 cars between dad and 3 boys (much to poor mum's distress) I always had two cars to cruize in and my fav was a ground up rebuilt EH Holden sedan. Black, Dragways, Stage 4 186 bored to 192 with hurst shift kit etc so it took preference over the FB.

The wagon became pretty rusty in the sills and so I chose to sell it. Think I got $2,500 for it from memory but cant remember. (I wish I still had it & my EH to be honest!)

The guy that bought it was a panel beater in Berry and he drove it for a while (he had a dark pink EK sedan too) but then the cancer caught her so he cut it in half and turned it into a BBQ is my understanding.

So there you have it - what was once a lovely old car is now half of its former self and is probably cooking some sausages today on Australia Day..

If any of you are like my dad, you will want to see more pics so if you do, I can post them here if you like.

Cheers, Adrian.
