changing of 'prong' (outrigger???) on HR front end

Do people usually bolt it or weld it on? on both, or something else?
I've heard you can just drill 2 new holes but the HR one is a bit bent on mine, and doesn't look as strong as the FB one.

They are usually welded when they are converted to suit older holdens. I think people use EH outriggers?

As the others have said, cut off the HR one and weld the one off your FB in its place.
