Ideas for club runs, events, etc.....

It is almost time for the nsw club to be orgainising its club calender of events, and to ,make each event most enjoyable for all those who attend, i would like input from as many people as possible to help us.

As i will not be in Australia for not only the nationals, but also for the club meeting where such ideas are put forward, i wish to appeal to all, so when i return, and the calender is set, it will be a most enjoyable year to look forward to, with the hope that increased attendance and interest may be obtained. YOUR INPUT IS VITAL TO YOUR CLUB.

I understand that this forum caters for both members and non-members, and note that the nsw club openly encourages all to join us for our events, as such, i (as a part of the social committee) am appealing to all to help us create a list of activities that we all can attend and more or less catch up, swap ideas, and peek at each others toys.

What i would like to see is maybe a list of ideas posted, with dates, locations, costings etc, that i can put forward at the next club meeting as part of general business, and who knows, maybe your ideas and input will be to help us create an enjoyable day for all attending.

Remember, as a social club, we need ideas and social events to attend, otherwise ownership and membership would be somewhat pointless.

I wish not to offend anyone with this post, and welcome all ideas, great or small.

Thankyou,

Retro... Wayne.

Garage crawls are awesome ,all willing to share what they are up to and what they are into can be put in an order of klms from each other and a mini bus drives the members .
Its awesome for motivation when others love what your doing ,and when you get to see what others are doing , and it creates freindships especially for people from afar .
And then when theres a couple of old Holdens darting around the bus because they couldnt fit into the bus hehe awesome

thanks guys, so far i have noted.... ratbox needs warning, bex bowling night (had one last month.. it was awsome, and maybe the ashfied venue would be a good idea), and harko a garage peek, to those willing to open up, im happy to have a bqq night at my joint.

I spoke to a member at newcastle and noted that a winery run weekend was another idea, will have to be at later part of year due to nationals, and grey pride runs.

Even if they are not put on the club calender, nothing is stoping us have a forum weekend or cruise.

Anyother ideas people?

I'm happy for a cruise and bbq in a park somewhere, so long as it involves kids and family and not a Weekend when where off camping somewhere else :D .
The South Coast is pretty for a cruise, not just Ulladulla region but even Stanwell Park, the Gong, Kiama, Or even a day at Jambaroo. How bout a Music fest weekend somewhere. If its not available, lets start one. Rock n Roll, Boogie Blues, Jazz in the Park, I can organise a Boogie Blues band. I'm in one!.
Or start a Day or Weekend Workshop. Bit of Mechanical, Panel, paint and electrical, Sounds cool to me. I'm willing to provide the facilities.
Just a thought.

Winery idea sounds great, although we should book accomodation, wouldnt want to be promoting drink driving.

Another idea could be a cruise up to the central coast followed by a bbq and fun and games.

Also, as an aside, the club should consider a recruitment drive to even out the gender inequality, it seems to be too male dominated.... just some food for thought.

I thought thats what the wives were for, car clubs aren't really what girls are into, there is always an exception to the rule.
We (Vic club) has a few lady members, Trev 8).

I'd be happy to help out with a winery tour and a BBQ / shed tour.

Central coast run would be great too :D

Mini, I like the idea of a combined run too. Count the 3 bears in for that.

Oh, and FB Cruisin's sedan goes in for a blue slip today :D so look out for a celebratory "FB Cruise" in the Newcastle region very soon!
