Obviously nothing wrong with the globe, how can i fix this?
thanks

taillights
if it is not the switch try looking in the boot you can trace the wires back to connector in the boot {yellow wire for taillight}
also if you have had to replace your spedo cable the wire from the brake switch may have come adrift ther is a concetot oh the orange wire fron the brake switch that has a habit of coming undone whilst you are moving things under the dash.
Hope this helps.

If I could think of something witty I would put it here
More info please J , do you mean your taillights work O.K. and when you put the brakes on you lose the lot ? What about when you leave the taillights off and use an indicator and the brake at the same time, does it go haywire then?
If so , it may have a dirty earth wire, pretty common on all old Holdens.

I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

J, try disconnecting the lead from inside the tail light. Check the terminals haven't worn / burnt away, as this will certainly result in no brake lights.
If they are worn away, its a simple case of building the terminals back up with solder.
Otherwise, check the brake light cable at the right hand side, as the line to the left joins there and a bad connection will also result in no brake lights.
Hope this helps,
Matt

interior light doesnt work
also reverse light... which i now realize its because it has no globes
indicators are fine, and blacky when lights are on and you brake they stay on. just doesnt go brighter
the little stick thing that comes out when your moving the brake pedal isnt sticking
looked under the dash but even with the maze of wires from my stereo everything seemed in order. Where is the earth wire?
thanks

Have they worked before and just stopped or have they always been this way?
If they have always been like this the wire's that go in the back of the light socket may be in the wrong way around, Trev

get a test lite and see if theres power at the back when you hit the pedal and if not test it at the switch both wires to see if the switch has supply and delivery that will tell you if the switch is sus if theres no supply to switch then trace supply to fuse or rewire from fuse,,but this is unlikley if its not the fuse or switch then replace the bulbs and check that the bulbs have good contact and earth
when they start building them like that again i will buy a new car of them
