I love it................. but that original old sckool four door has it over the rebuild for me I think. With the patina paint and maybe some flames and a stinking 350:D Any idea when the original four door was done and do you have any more pics of it you can send me?

The bracing inside the doors above the sills is an interesting idea. The one I looked at over here had standard sills but a extensive tube chassis under it.

Cheers,

A very jealous Burnsy

I realised they were the same car but was just wondering if you had anymore pics of the four door before you modified it. I have often wondered about a four door convertable EK but have never seen one.

That is why I want to see more of it :D

tikEK what is wrong with the stance? I would have said its good very slight rake (nose down) suits ek's. Height's good... Would like to see a few more with the roof on.

Hey Tina I gotta love your wheels. But tell me apart from stretching the doors and filling in the rear doors have you reduced the wheelbase?or is it an optical illusion?Got any wind up windows in the baby or is it a summer only cruizer?

Hi all
The body has been shortened about 5", doors lengthened about the same.
Different photo angles do change the????? cant think of the word, (look).
There are other pics in previous "TTTD" threads and on oldholden.com,
MEMBERS SHEDS......HEMI'S HIDEOUT.
Hemi built the car about 4 years ago.
Has warm 138 twin carbs etc, commodore auto trans, weighs about900kgs
No wipers, side glass, internal door winders/handles, boot has been welded and entry by fold down seats, not even an ashtray or air vent controls. Has a lot of weight removed by making flip front.
A bit more work to go now making parts out of fiberglass and maybe a jap supercharger?
I LOOOOOVE IT
Tina

STUNNING!

WOW....... Love the convertible, Holden would probably kick itself for not making this part of the model line up from factory!!!

Im sure that would be a crowd stopper..... wish it were mine.

BTW is that aqua the original colour, or an EK colour? if so whats the colour name?

How does that hard top sit on the car??... even when driving?

cheers

Thanks, The colour is Twilight Turquoise a standard Fb colour.
The roof is held on by 4 stainless button head allen key screws across the front and a nut/bolt though the rear pillar. The roofs only for those hot days, usually cruise around topless!

Love the car Tina,
Gotta ask though, how'd you go with the rego in SA? Did you need to see an engineer?

Thanks Stinky, Pre 65 (i think the intro of seat belts) you can remove the roof as long as there are no sharp edges. They "recomend" that you "consult" an engineer. This vehicle is probable stronger than the sedan that it use to be, the box channelling gives a lot of strength.
Regency Park was the first step. There are a few convertys getting around Adelaide i'd question.
