I can only speak for those that don't have one, and mine drives fine, I do have pedders heavy duty lowered suspension on the front, mine is steady as a steady thing (it's the best I could come up with, too drunk  ), Trev 8)

Can't think of any reason not to run a front sway bar. I don't run them on the 4wd if doing some serious rock hoping, as it gives you more indendent
wheel traction. Its like a boat on the road though. Maybe when as low as trevs, the low centre of gravity would not produce a lot of body roll to notice a sway bars effect. I would not bother fitting a rear sway bar if your car is lowed, unless you like to step the rear out round corners

I have a rear sway bar that was bought second hand but was originally from K-Mac in Sydney. Came out of a ute and fitted the wagon OK so I guess they must be much the same.

Can't tell you off hand what its diameter is, but can say that it works well!

I ordered a rear sway bar direct to my door from K Mac a few weeks ago. It arrived promptly and I have told classic olden to bung it on for me :) I found that with my lowwww springs and all, the rear wheels rubber on the inner guard.
