I need to source a front seat for my FB ute, was wondering if ute/sedan/wagon were all the same as far as dimensions/mounting point etc. I know the patterns are different but I'm not too worried about that.
Also is EK and FB he same?
Thanks
Also if you have a spare seat in Sydney for sale let me know.
Thanks again
Greg

I thought a Ute & Van seat sat higher? Hmm.
I remember having an EK sedan seat in a ute once & it was too low.

Glad i found this post cos i was about to ask the same question. I have an old sedan seat in my project ute and as it is right now the steering wheel is right in front of your eyes. Now this could be for a number of reasons.
1. Because its a HT steering wheel and they may have been much different geometry.
2. Because the seat needs to be resprung therefore has a lot of sag when you sit on it.
3. Or sedan seats DO sit lower.
Now i have no idea which of these can or would affect the positioning but really need to find out before i go shelling out the coin to have this seat reupholstered.
Thanks guys, Ryan

Can't see why there would be a difference - after all a ute is a sedan with the back chopped off, in fact if you take the tray floor out you'll see the rest of the sedan floor pan & everything is interchangable apart from the side front window & door.
