window rubber

Just looking at my front side windows & the rubber seal at the bottom is ratshit - checked RS site & they don't appear to stock them - sssssoooooo what's used as a replacement.

I replaced all my rubbers with rares stuff-if you want the vent window rubbers they come in two pieces, the rest are all available- what pieces do they not make?

Its the 'half round' glass lifter channel seal I'm referring to - all the other seals I have

Hi BU,
I may be right off on a tangent here, but are you referring to the rubber seal which is fitted to the lower bar on the window glass - it is clamped to the glass by the bar................?
I tried to get these as well, with no success..............
I just purchased some 2mm rubber from Clark Rubber, cleaned up and straightened an edge on what was left of the fitted seal then stuck the new rubber to the old seal with Loctite 424 - it has worked well.
The purpose of this seal is to deflect anything running down the glass away from the winder linkage and membrane on the inner side of the door.
If this is not the seal you mean, I have missed your question, sorry......

I'm assuming too Rosco that Blue Ute it referring to the channel the window glass sits in. Mine have all had it as well Blue Ute.
I checked Spectrum Rubber here in Sydney who stock a very large range but they couldn't help. The bloke suggested this website http://www.forwhatyouneed.com/rubber.htm.
Press CNRL F on your keyboard to do a search and type in 70-0489-58. The profile looks fairly close. If you do a search for 'window' there are other profiles as well. Trouble is they are in the States...there is an email address on the page...

Yeah Stewart/Rosco thats the one, both are as briitle as hell so I'm unable to 'make do' with the existing one.
Was also thinking maybe 56-58 Chevy may have something similar as some of parts were the same as 61-62 Holden.
