I'm looking to get a new set of 13" tyres fitted, but am having no luck finding the 185/75 size I've had fitted in the past - 175/70 seems to be the most commonly available (and most financially viable too!)

Would these work alright?

Thanks guys!

I dropped by the goodyear tyre centre in newcastle this arvo full of enthusiasm, only to find the 185/75 is no longer in production, and that a 185/70 tyre in the same range (with whitewall) would want around $190 a tyre...

There is rumoured to be a whitewall tyre dealer in Newcastle whom I plan to chase up in the near future.

Saw these on ebay. Not touting for these guys in any way.

"You are bidding on a set of 4 NEW Kuhmo 185/70x13 tyres with a 13mm white ribbon/band." $ 370.00 Buy now price.

Maybe an option if you get stuck

I bought a set of 185 x 75 x 13 for a little mazda runabout.

Brand SAVA from New Zealand.

Top tyre dosen't squeel easy or have any road noise.
$ 100 dollar mark.

Looking at tyres myself & the guy at Tyrepower suggested DURUN 185/70/13, a silica tyre at around $80, says they are now fitted to a lot of the older cars, not sure if that is the only profile available.
Will check them out this week

I've ordered a set of the Kumho 185/70 whitewalls at $100 ea - should be on the wagon by the end of the week 8)

I have two of the Sava brand tyres on at the moment - near identical to the 'Classic 75' tyres they replaced.

Spoke to another tyre guy, reckoned DURUN tyres were no good as they cannot get them balanced, he sent them all back as did lot of others, he recommended Maxxis, the same as Kuhmo but cheaper - I'm referring to the all blacks (not the mighty rugby team) not the white walls
Who do you believe ??

hey brown bear any chance of a quick picture when these are fitted, i know my car has to get some new rubber soon, and i want to see my options. I think the tasmans without the white walls has made me realise that the car looks alot better with the white walls and dress rims.
