We only went down on the Sunday due to a 50th Friday night. There was a big turnout and the weather was sensational!!!! There were a few EK's there but with the track being open for cruising it was a little hard to get pics while stationary.....

So without further ado here's the pics.....

First run for this Caddy powered Dodge.

A sea of colour....

Paint jobs are getting wilder, lots of flakes and candies and fades...

Great pics, looks like the sane alternative to SummerNats.

Gee wouldn't you like to get your hands on that Offenhauser or even your hands on the money that would have cost ???.

Ratbox for whats on at John's events go here. He has a popup which links you to the next event and details of whtas happening...

http://www.kustoms.com.au/

As for cruising the racetrack, its at specified times and is the whole track. Although the years before allowed pit lane and turns 1 & 2 and then back in on the back road to the pits.

Theres bands playing the whole weekend too... and yes it is a sane alternative to the Summernats. At least you don't have to worry about roadside roadworthy checks in or out of the Island.
