EK Wagon Fuel Tank

Post by TuffEK »

Hi Guys

As a 15 year old trying to build his first car and my dad being a Mopar head, I need you guys to help me with information.

My EK wagon has a really rusty fuel tank and I have to replace it. Can I use a tank from a sedan and can that tank be from something other than an FB or EK or do I have no choice but to find an EK Wagon tank.

Seeing that no one else has replied,I will try.although not being a wagon owner,I would be pretty sure a sedan tank is different, however an fc wagon tank may be the same but the filler neck could be different, but that could be swapped from your old tank.
A guy in Qeeensland is starting to make repro tanks in stainless, however they will be about$700.

Cheers Geoff

EK Wagon Tank

Thanks Geoff but I think $700 is more than I want to spend on a petrol tank. My dad has suggested that we might just remove the fuel tank completely and the fit a LPG tank and custom make a new wagon floor. Second hand LPG systems are readly available.

With the cost of petrol these days running my car on BBQ fuel sounds like the go. Truth be it I am guessing it won't be long before we are forced to either convert any modified car to either run on ULP or LPG.
