i got all the removable panels blasted last week.
looks like the mongrel was standing on my perfect bonnet
one of the cross bracing bars was bent and the bonets no longer straight.
where are all the good tradesmen
try a couple of strip and clean disks they rip through bog and paint but wont hurt the metal.

yeah captain bill when i spoke to the bloke he said that he would only do the edge of panels and all the tricky bits , jams, window tracks ect, cause he said that if you do the panels they could get to hot and warp the steel and stuff the panel , but he had quoted me a per door price . so i said to him i didnt care about the cost i hate sanding sh#t and could he just wisk over it a bit at a time as not to gain heat and he said that it was no prob if i was happy to pay extra time to do it carefully and he did the hole lot but your bloke is probably aware of this and being carefull which is probably better than buggered pannels, but i could see problems with a cowboy that didnt give a toss, and i was nervous the hole time he had my bits untill i saw them safe n sound, ,,,i did do my roof and back section at home and i found that a 6 inch air orbital took me 3-4 hours to do roof with 5 layers and worked really well also i have a makita elec palm sander that gets in corners better than the round orby i did use 40 ,60,80 and 120 grit progresivly and took it back to steel but im so glad i blasted think it is far more quicker . now i just have pillars and sills left yuk ,,the bloke who did it was iron cross sand blasting at gatton <80ks> which is a long way for you westeners but for any one around bris this bloke is good

wife
Hi Karsten,
t would seem you sure have one very patient and tolerant wife.........
I have three and a half in progress (will never finish any of them) and I'm expecting orders to downsize one day..............
Love the idea of that Diamond "T" - together with early Macks and 190's I think the '50's were a great era.
Hope the EK always takes precedence over the others, Karsten?
frats,
Rosco
