Retro's revamp on rosie the ek.

Post by retro »

What i started with ... photos look better than it really was..... Once known a rusty, now we have called her rosie.

Over some weeks i had located a replacement for every bolted on rusty panel, and replaced a few floor sections. I had no intentions of painting, replacing or playing with the car this side of xmas, and because she was not needed till may for a wedding, i basically left it and drove it as it was.

Well my mother ( who hates spare parts, paint and nikki dust, oil leaks, and anything else that may be involved with automotive play) decided that she will use the car instead of hers seeing it was always outside. Umm, well i didnt seem to mind at first, it sorta was testing the car for any problems for me, But what i did mind was the front end modifications that she quickly made......

The almost complete job, needs a detail, roof completed, and the bar of course. Oh the dragways went to a good home, my fe ute. I do note with out the sixs (fronts) and sevens (back) the ek is much better to drive. Oh and what ek is complete with out the ventian i picked up at AHD NSW.

I reckon after may 08, rosie and i will have to seperate, as i really want to get stuck into my fj collection. Besides, i dont think i can maintain a stock grey motor without playing and adding to it.

peter,

Wanna tell you a story
'Bout a woman I know
When it comes to lovin'
Oh she steals the show
She ain't exactly pretty
Ain't exactly small
Forty-two, thirty-nine, fifty-six
You could say she's got it all
Never had a woman
Never had a woman like you
Doing all the things
Doing all the things you do
Ain't no fairy story
Ain't no skin and bone
But you give it all you got
Weighing in at nineteen stone
master of nothing, leader of nobody.

ratbox, funny story, shes gone to take it twice since, the first time the car played dead with a flat battery, the second time (last weekend) the ignition barrrel went.

I cant understand that i drive the car to the gym and back and all over the place and i cant kill the blooming thing. I think it hates mum now.

I did show mum the van and she thinks that she might want to take it for a test drive buddy.
