My ek wagon is still in its orig coat of paint, i've seen another ek or two out and about the same colour. The number on my ID tag in eng bay translates to cataract grey which its not so maybe its had an interesting past in another state....
What colour is it, I think maybe Glade green? Any help from anyone would be great, I want to respray the bottom half over the primer back to orig-ish! Have been to numerous paint shops locally and have been turned away, didn't think it was that big a deal to get paint matched....
Cheers guys

Agree Sunnytim. That is a nice colour.
Must have been popular in it's day as I remember a lot of them in that colour in my younger years.

yay, thanks soooooo much for the colour help!!!! that pic is photoshoped when i first got the wagon to see how it would look dumped, but it is actually that low now, but with new chrome 16's, commy discs etc, its still up on stands, interiors off getting retrimmed, will finish the welding over the next fortnight, get the r+p steering in, get the paint and touch her up and will be cruisin for summer!
Thanks for the colour help again guys, much appreciated!

I've had alot of old and new cars too and from my experience low is good, and yes you have to slow down heeaps for speed bumps/curbs etc, but thats not a bad thing, speed bumps are there for a reason, to slow traffic and the old cars creak enough going up curbs so slower the better again...
Lower stiffer suspension if engineered for the vehicle properly provides a massive improvement on braking and corner stability.
My wife had a near miss in our lil 51 year old vw beetle, if it wasn't as low as it is with positive camber on the rear the car would have rolled for sure due to the nature of old rear swing axle vw's and put my wife in a very different situation.
I've lowered and fitted upgraded brakes and steering etc to all my old holdens and dubs, and felt/feel safer and enjoyed/enjoy driving them so much more, different generation I spose... My old man doesn't approve/understand why I lower my cars...
I'm all for keeping bodys and the character of the car orig but upgraded brakes, suspension and steering is the best investment in my opinion, just my two cents worth, sorry to the purists!

praise the lowered! iam with you station sedan man, but have gotta lift my car up abit in the front to get my mags to fit, but dont worry, even with the mags on it will still be 1" lower than stock at the front, and the guards will be fulllll

lowered vs high stance
