Hello there,

Just bought a pair of halogen headlight bulbs from Classic and Vintge Bulbs for the FB and will fit them soon. Hopefully there will be a big difference between my current lights and the halogen ones. Will let you know of the difference.

Anyone else used these?

Hi Parisian62!

THEY ARE FANTASTIC!

I have them in my (6Volt) FJ and in the EK wagon and the difference is amazing! and I think fairly reasonably priced,
I put one in and drove around for a night to see what the change was, and it was a VERY noticeable increase in light
If anyone wants info this is their website.....

P.S. not on commission, just very happy with their products

Hi Matt,

I put your idea to the test and installed the halogen globe into the drivers side. A BIG difference - much brighter and the actual light whiter - (hmmm sounds like a washing powder advert  ) not the yellow that I'm used to. It should be an improvment on the safety factor esp now the days are getting a lot shorter.

Regards
Stewart

(I'm not on a commission either)

Hi guys, i have heard different stories regarding the fitment of quartz globes in standard headlamps. One theory is that the heat generated by these globes can cause the headlamp glass to fracture when driving in rain. Can't say for sure if this is correct as i haven't tried these globes myself, but it might be food for thought. Regards Bill 8)

Thanks for that Reidy, I have had them in the jay for a couple of years in all sorts of weather and all is well, but maybe the awesome power of the 12 volt is different, they have been in the wagon for 12 months and as you know I drive that thing everywhere, so will see how we go, might pick up a spare set of glass just in case
