G'day Folks.

Any ideas on what I can use for the rear end panel rubber, The thick broad rubber that is fixed to the lower rear beaver panel and the rear tailight assemblies, it is concelled between the Rear bumper bar. I'm getting a little tired of the crap that oozes out from under the rear bumper bar and messing up the rear end, along with the stone chips, being deflected. I have tried truck tyre tube, but doesn't stop it.
Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. Expander foam seams like a good option, if I can get in there to shape it right.

Truck tube rubber would be too thin, the air being scooped up by
the lower edge of the bumper, would blow the tube rubber out the way.
The rubber would need to be 1/4" thick to hold its position.
I know the original rubber was thinner, but it was moulded to hold its shape.
You could make a metal one out of thin galv' sheet,
you can't see it when the bumper is fitted.

maybe try some sort of plastic irrigation hose? cut in half
aluminium angle bar?

I know the rubbers in question, im not running them either
still got the old ones in the shed, i think

I will have the same problem when I get there, you could purchase some aluminium black plastic coated dampcourse (builders use it) and cut it to size, it takes abit to bend, its black and worth a try. What ever you do that works, can you let us know.

take a trip into Clarke Rubber,they have various shapes and sizes of rubber,you never know your luck. Cheers Red Dog
