Bonnet/boot letters

Going to drop a set of bonnet/EK boot letters off to me old mate Richard Wallace at Billetworks tomorrow along with an FC grille badge - he is going to look into making them seeing as Rares can’t be bothered anymore…..
I have a question for someone who has a master parts cattledog handy - it’s common knowledge the E is different front to back - but what about the other letters? Digging through the ones I have the E was the only one that I could find 2 different part numbers on - can anyone confirm?
The part numbers are consecutive from the H to the N

According to the Master Oldfarts Dogologue, all six letters of H O L D E N on the boot and bonnet have different parts numbers. Boot 7416673 - 7416678, bonnet 7412316 - 7412321.
Cheers,

Yes Harv & Errol62 are correct, the boot & bonnet badges do differ.
I think the reason is because the boot badges have provision for body sealant so water doesn't get into the boot.
The EK bonnet badges came from the FB bonnet & they had no provision for sealant.
Had GMH thought ahead & made the FB badges designed for sealant they could've had 1 set of badges that they could use anywhere.

Very good Terry. You can usually tell the rear letters as they have rubber seals or remnants there of, around the pins.

Another thing too. I seem to remember that not all the pins are positioned the same for each set of letters. In other words they are not all interchangeable.

Yes. I’ve observed some vary front to back as you say.

Definitely. I bought a set of NOS "bonnet letters" for the ute back in the day and there was at least one that had different pin configuration - I thought it was only the E but could quite possibly be more as it was 16 years ago.........
