A mate of mine was asked to make. Bonnet bar from scratch for an FB owner over here. He is a coachbuilder and does some amazing work , usually works on vintage high end stuff like Bugattis, Hispano Suiza, Cadillac etc so he is almost qualified enough to work on an FB ImageImage

He made 4 , thinking he might make a heap if they were going to sell but there is a HEAP of work in them so probably not going to happen. He has a couple for sale - not cheap at $2k however

If they are chromed ready to install, probably a good price.
If it takes a week to make, chrome and labour then there it is.

You can only imagine the howls from the peanut gallery on bookface when they see them for this sort of money though - "I bought a whole car for $25 in 1974" etc etc etc ..............

Great work and also a fair price I reckon. That one piece of trim makes FBs the hard one to restore. A smart fellow like Scott probably could make a plastic one from his clever thinking printer thingy that could be chromed, but these are always going to be best. The other bit that is going to get harder to find, I guess are the quarter vent frames.
Anyway, kudos to these people who are making all the replacement parts and panels. They are making a real difference.

Happy New Year all. 🎆
