Happy to say we are hosting the 2026 All Holden Day again at Wigley Reserve at Glenelg on the 18th Jan 2026.
A few changes from last AHD with the club doing the BBQ and a Hot Dog stand.
Great is see a number of members stepping up with setup, cooking - serving and raffle.

I'd better book some accommodation, then . . .
After all, how hot can it possibly get in the Riverland and the Hay Plains?

Busy day with around 250 cars attending. 30 odd Humpys, and a good turnout from the SA FB EK Club. I only got around to taking one photo.

It could have been cooler. 34C, with a mild southerly change mid arvo.

Worth going to, in my opinion. The SA Humpy peeps adopted me again, and even suggested I could join up. I asked if they accepted interstate members, not expecting the question to be taken in earnest. They did. They do. Take interstate members, that is.
A couple of standout vehicles for me - a very sleek HR Premier wagon, customised in almost every respect, but which looked stock apart from wheels and paint, from a distance. And a Euroa Gold EJ Premier "survivor", with period mags, twin Strombergs and an Australian 4-speed. Oh, and a most unorthodox system of engine mounts. Car had a "for sale" sign. I was imagining what would happen if I tried to get it blue-slipped in NSW . . .
As usual, people thought I was crazy driving a 75-year-old car 3000 km through the summer heat.

I had a good chat to the owner builder of the HR wagon, a very nice, chatty and clever feller. I know the owner of the EJ, Bryce Buchanan. Our dads were best mates and we grew up over the back fence from each other. He has a super Bee Dodge thingy, as well as a 40s Cadillac hearse he is going to do up, one day.
