Hi I'm new here ....Can anyone help with measurements or a template of where the SPECIAL badges and stars are fitted to the front guards?

Welcome to the forum. I will see if I can get some measurements off my FB sedan tomorrow, unless someone else jumps in before me with the info.

Here you go John

Height of Special badge as shown from guard ridge to underside of centre bar.

Photo. All measurements in mm.

From guard edge (where drivers door edge is) to vertical bar of first star is 415mm.

From centre vertical bar of fist star to same of middle is 105. Same (105) from centre of middle star to third star (closest to headlight.

From third star vertical bar to edge of centre bar (goes thro word Special) is 77mm

Hope that helps John. That is how the car left the factory. Passenger side should be the same but who knows quality control may not have been a thing back in 1960?

Yes can be a bit tricky. Some folk on here use the tap a talk app thingy to post pictures, apparently that makes it easy?

When your on the screen to reply to a post, towards the bottom of the page there are three buttons (save draft, preview, submit), below that there is “attachments”. That is where you can upload a pic from your photo album.
Then “add files”

Hopefully this helps. Note there is a file size limit, think it is 2mb per file.
