138 Manual Flywheel

Hi,

I've been told I've got an engine rebuild imminent so I dragged out the parts from my spare motor to take to an engine rebuilder recommended by the mechanic. Problem is I seem to have a flywheel for a hydramatic transmission instead of a manual. Has anyone got a manual flywheel they'e prepared to sell? I'm based just north of Sydney.

Cheers,
Iain

I’ve got one for you Iain. Trouble is it’s down here in sunny SA. Weigh around 11kg.

Cheers Clay - depending on whether I can find one up here in time, I might start looking at freight costs (or an excuse for a road trip...).

The engine guy reckons it's not gonna get looked at for at least 5-6 weeks, so I'm thinking the early part of next year is when things'll start getting serious.

Just curious what is the difference and is it obvious to the untrained eye?

If you drop the auto flywheel, it will break your foot. The manual flywheel will break your foot, bore its way through the earth and come out somewhere in Portugal.

Paul is the dude that we don’t deal with, he goes around buying up stuff that good people put on gumtree for sensible money and the next minute it is up for triple

Yes indeed. Just got off this morning's flight from Bedlam, aka LAX. There was an annular solar eclipse visible in Albuquerque. Quote from the guy who runs the T-shirt shop in Old Town: "You're the fourth person today who's asked for a Bugs Bunny T-shirt." You can't get them. Time-Warner won't licence the design.

On-topic. Sorry, all my grey flywheels are attached to engines, except a for lightened one. I have plans for it . . .

Rob
