EK Electric wiper mounting seal

Hi all,

I'm putting an EK (Delco) electric wiper into my FB, but unfortunately it's missing the rubber mounting seal. Does anybody have a source for a replacement, or a hack to make their own? I can get 6mm rubber from Clark Rubber but thought I'd ask before going down that route.

Cheers
Tim

Hi Tim,
I think you are on the right track with some 1/4” rubber sheet, unless anyone has one from a blown motor. Pete Mallaby on the FE FC site may be an option. I got a conversion kit for a later motor from him a while ago, which includes a fabricated mounting plate. I will have a look and see what he did for the rubber. I’ve got other rubber bits from him previously which he makes up on a water jet machine.
Cheers,
Clay

This is what Pete suppliesImage
It is more like 4mm than 6mm.

G'day Clay, thanks for the reply.

After a bit more digging I managed to find one from an Ebay seller (earlybitz1).

Surprised that Rare Spares don't have one in their catalogue.

Cheers
Tim

Haha, I was kinda worried when he said he had one, but it was $30. I've been after one for a while and compared to how much the other wiper parts have cost me I didn't flinch too much.

That’s not bad in todays world as long as it’s serviceable.
