Gents,
Is there a front mounted rack conversion for the HR front end that works properly?

The CRS conversion works well, with the exception of abysmal turning circle.

These days Phil if I wanted to go r&p I would sell the HR disc front and get a fabricated front end. The HR disc fronts complete are going for $1k which goes a fair way toward fabricated front.

TE-TF Cortina rack is front mounted , has good turning circle, bump steer and ackerman. You need to do it all yourself though , the bloke who does the conversions is ridiculously slow. Theres pics of mine in the "red rattler rebuild" thread.

rack is unmodified , you need to use short HQ steering arms, early Commodore tie rod ends and will need to have the steering arms rereamed the opposite way . also need to modify the crossmember to accept the head of the rack - and a power rack will fit as well if you can find one.

Does anyone have a TE TF Cortina rack at hand for some measurements?...I'd like to compare pivot points etc to a LH LX Torana rack.

Gee Greg, those barn-find taillights were selling for $400 each before the Nats. They are rare, and Holden doesn't make them anymore. Your shed must be worth a fortune, like mine
Cheers,
