Gents,
Found my braided fuel line bubbling at the crimp to the connection of the fuel pump.
Does anyone have one for sale?
Many thanks in advance Ric.

Patrick,
File through the crimp ferrules so that you can separate the hose from the fittings; and then go to a hydraulic place with the fittings. They should be able to crimp a new hose section in place.

or if you don't mind it not being braided, after you cut through the crimps (I used a dremel) you can slip a bit of fuel hose on ... though if you don't have the braided hose, an additional earth to the body is a good idea

Repro are available from holdenman restomotive early Holden parts. Has a lot of good stuff, not cheap.

Gents,
Thanks again for your replies.
Before I go down the path of a non original or non genuine part.
As my car is a survivor car, I’ll hold off a little to see if something original pops up.
I’ll also run this by the guys on the FC forum.
Many thanks,
Ric.

I had one on my ute when i rebuilt it , I kept it and cleaned it up so it looked brand new - refitted it to the car and when i put fuel back in it the bloody thing looked like a sprinkler
Repro is most likely the best bet , it would be like trying to find a good original brake hose
would rather have a repro part on a survivor car than burn the bastard to the ground ..........
Just my $0.02

Can’t disagree with you Blacky.
That would have been painful seeing a good hose turn to crap like that.
I’ll check that supplier today and see what they have.
When I saw it bubbling away when I returned home, I had that vision of it catching fire, so I grabbed my fire extinguisher off the wall and waited the few minutes for it to stop.

Could be worse... fuel hoses on the early Minis are lower than the tank. When they split, the entire tank drains out under the car.
Don't ask me how I know
Cheers,
Harv

Holdenman lines are practically the same as original - he does a great job in keeping them the same - quality is great and easy to deal with.

I’ve tried calling Holdenman three times this week.
It just rings out.
Maybe he’s on holidays?
I’ll try him next week.

Harv,
I must apologise I didn’t reply to your post about the early Mini draining fuel.
Are you sure you don’t want to share lol
Ric.
