Horn contacts

Post by Blacky »

Have had a run on people asking me for horn contacts lately , as we all know they are now unobtanium , anybody have a NOS set they can measure up so I can look at maybe making some ?
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Can’t help with measurements but I’ll add myself to the list of people chasing them if that is ok?

oooh ooh - me too pls

Ive been checking Dave at Rares when they were doing them again and seams they can't fix the issue they were having with quality or don't want to.
Dave now retired so I wonder if anything will get fixed at rates now as he seamed to be the only one that gave a shit.

I’ll put my hand up for a couple of sets please.

Les and Dave were both great at solving Rares issues. I suspect that Lance will step up - he has helped solve a few dramas over the years.

Cheers,

Which bit are you chasing? Is it just the contact with the spring attached? I’ve got a steering wheel in the shed I can check to see if it has any internals. Won’t help you find a NOS one Blacky but might be able to help someone else out.

Thats the one mate , they dont look that hard to make , and its probably one of those things that if you tool up to make a couple you could make a dozen without too much more effort.

If you can make a dozen with out too much effort you could make a couple of hundred of them.

You could only pronounce that if I make them. I’ve copy righted it for my stage name. Just google it. Maybe not at work though....
