Guard trims

For the single stainless guard trims for utes and vans and some sedans what is the correct orientation - small surface up or down - Ive seen it put on both ways but which is correct?

Sorry no front guard spears - on the sides that follow the guard line - long skinny ones

Thanks Blacky - The same holes were used as original so it should only be a matter of flipping them over - just have to not scratch the paint - lol
