Guys I need a hand; does anybody know how to wire a VN VP neutral safety/reverse light switch to a B&M Megashifter please.

There are 4 wires on the commo switch, black, pink, green and grey and the B&M has 4 bayonet connections I think the green is reverse and the pink is neutral safety but not sure how it should be wired up.
Top switch is the reverse light switch bottom one is the neutral safety switch as shown in the shifter diagram

Step 1 - fit switch back on VN shifter
Step 2 - put it in park
Step 3 - check with a multimeter which 2 wires are shorted out
Step 4 - put it in any gear other than park or neutral and check they are no longer shorted out - if so , these 2 are your neutral safety wires
Step 5 - stick it in reverse and repeat steps 3 and 4

Gee thanks mate for that really in depth solution pity the commodore is probably a crushed square at Simms metal somewhere
If anybody is interested I had 2 options, I could follow Blackys advice because my FC sedan runs the standard commodore shifter therefore standard neutral safety switch which would mean pulling my console apart and the rest or 2, pull the switch apart that is in the photo above and try and figure it out.
So me being me I took the harder option #2; pretty sure I have it sorted, as I said for those interested I will take a couple of photos and post them tomorrow when back in the office.

Following Blacky's train of thought I had a VN/VP Shifter in the workshop so I refitted the switch to it and marked on the switch where it was at each of the positions.
The first position in the photo is Park

Then I pulled the switch apart to see how it worked and where the wires made contact, I suppose because the switch only allows you to start in 2 positions it had multiple contacts.

So I marked the contact points on the moving part of the switch and also where the wires had there contact points, loosely assembled the switch and noted which points made contact with which wires.
Photo below shows where the points contact the wires in Park.

So after all of that and then transferring it to my CAD programme I came up with the below diagram.
The part of it that is the most correct is in the bottom right hand corner.
Grey and Black to Neutral safety Switch
Green and Pink to reverse.

Of course I can't check my theory until I'm able to power up Frank

The green & pink wires are for the reverse lights. The black & grey are for the neutral safety switch.
