New shoes on the EK
New shoes on the EK
Got rid of the red walls on the ek and went with a taller white wall. 185 80 13's Pretty happy with the result. Looks cool

THE BLACK EK SHALL RIDE AGAIN!
Re: New shoes on the EK
Nice. They fill the guards out better obviously. Ride improved noticeably? I did like the red though.

Does drive better. steering feels lighter and sits a bit higher so im not worrying about bottoming out on the driveway or speed humpsErrol62 wrote: Sat Feb 17, 2018 7:24 am Nice. They fill the guards out better obviously. Ride improved noticeably? I did like the red though.

Re: New shoes on the EK
Hey could I ask - what make/model tyre is this? I've come full circle with my ute and I'm now looking at running original 13" steelies with white band tyres. 185/80R13 might just be the ticket and these pics are offering a pretty compelling argumentEeek wrote: Sat Feb 17, 2018 3:52 am Got rid of the red walls on the ek and went with a taller white wall. 185 80 13's Pretty happy with the result. They are maxxis tyres. getting harder to get from what i hear. i paid around $160 each, they fill the guards nicely.

Re: New shoes on the EK
Had a feeling they were, nice one. I'll probably pull the trigger on a set of those as soon as I can afford it.Eeek wrote: Thu Mar 29, 2018 11:40 am They are maxxis tyres. getting harder to get from what i hear. i paid around $160 each, they fill the guards nicely.
I'm real happy with the sizing of the (dry rotted) 185/75 boots currently on my steelies but that size is impossible to find in white band. Thanks again mate.
