Spring measurement needed

Gents,
Tim is chasing a throttle return spring for his vehicle. It is the one located between the linkages and firewall:

I don't have access to the FB to measure mine - can someone please measure the spring diameter and length and post it here? I'll go through my parts stash on the weekend and send him up the correct spring, but need some rough measurements to work to.
Many thanks,
Harv

Harv, I don't have a measurement, But wouldn't the strength of the spring determine how hard your accelerator pedal will be? I've used lots of different springs over the years to get that feeling of being able to go through the rev range without growing a gorilla calf muscle. Measurement would be from the hook on the firewall to wherever your carbie is placed on the manifold. I know this doesn't help with your question but might give people an idea of what to look out for. I'll check the parts bin over the weekend to see if I've got the original spring and post the measurement.
Cheers Theo Z............

Thanks Steve.
Sorry Timbo - I checked the parts stash, and the spring I have is 270mm long, not 170mm as required (correct diameter, ends and wire gauge though).
Cheers,
Harv

G'day Timbo,
I managed to find a spring for you. It was hiding amongst the EK wagon parts, and only came out of hiding after I started swearing at the wagon

.
PM me an address and I'll get it into the post for you.
Cheers,
Harv

Thanks for going to so much for this Harv. I really appreciate it.
To you too Stephen - for the measurements and pics. It will probs help someone else down the track.
Just for reference: the Rare Spares accelerator springs available for sale: there are 5 sizes available but have no lengths published, so I contacted my closest outlet (Gold Coast) for measurements. They replied stating that all their springs listed "are nowhere near the dimensions I provided" (via Stephen).
Thanks again
Tim

Hi Harv
I was seeing posts today about this spring for me???
As you can see above, you sent it late last year.
It may be an old thread on the new forum upgrade...or another Tim
Anyway The spring you sent me is doing its job like a charm
Cheers
