I have seen them appear on ebay and FB groups - but not lately.

like most people, I prefer it to be in a good condition. let me know if you have one to sell or know how I could source one.

They are standard on all FB specials. There is a rechromed bonnet bird on Epay at the moment too.

Hi Experts

I need to replace my "throttle return spring" (mechanic) aka "pull back spring" (shop manual).

I have included some pics below (the motor pic is not my car...just one I found online)

Rare Spares offer a few springs that I think are what I'm looking for, but there are a few options...and none of them look long enough.

Thanks if anyone can advise which one to get (if any of these)

There is bonnet bird on Gumtree (SA) for $70 today. Let me know if they won't post it. They are about 25 mins from me.

G'day Tim,

I suspect I may have one of those springs, and if I do you are welcome to it for free. Can someone please measure the (unstretched) dimension of the spring, and I will check the spare parts department when I am home this weekend?

Ah Stephen, that one on gumtree was sold pretty quick - before I got there.

And Harv, I wish I could find dimensions of the spring but I cant find it on internet or in the shop manual. hopefully someone will know.
