Picked this one up a few weeks ago. One owner, well maintained. He bought it as the demo model at the local car dealership way back when. It's my daily driver at the moment, but the plan is to restore this one to it's former glory. That way it will be easier to get the go ahead from the boss to chop the ute and drop in a V6 :D

Hi Matthew,

Great score. One owner from new. How much resto is needed? Looks to be pretty straight.

Stewart

Gday Stewart, it's pretty good as is, but to be schmick it really needs to be stripped and repainted, and the motor and gearbox need a reco. Its had new rubbers put in it and I was talking to the ex owner today (91years old) who mentioned that he had previously given it a paint job by stripping it back to metal (with sandpaper) and repainting it with a brush! Upon closer inspection you can make out a few brush strokes but I wouldnt have thought the exterior was done like that. Must have taken him days!
Anyway, Im happy with the purchase and looking forward to the restoration project.
Cheers,
Mat
