Help needed.... watermarking a film

Ladies and gents,
I need some help please with an IT endeavour.
I've managed to get my hands on some of the early footage of the Canadian Hell Drivers. It looks like the footage that many of the still-photos have been cropped from, showing the cars in action. I've also gained permission from GMH to post the video to YouTube, and then link to the thread here on the forum:

I think that what I will recieve will be a CD with the film in normal DVD-type format. It could possibly also be in digital format.
What I will need to do is to apply a watermark across the film, ackowledging GMH's copyright. I've had a play previously with Windows Movie Maker, but that is the limit of my cinematographic knowledge.
Has anyone done this type of watermarking on a video before, and can point me in the right direction to DIY? If not, would someone be able to do this for me please?
Cheers,
Harv (Western Sydney Hell Driver).
