Wondering if anyone has fitted the early blue flame 235 chev 6 into a holden some many similarites between the grey motor and the chev. Read an article in Australian hot rod mag years ago were a jag six was fitted

I'm not 100% sure but I think size may be a limiting factor as to why it hasn't been done.

It wouldn't look bad.
Even the sump is the rite shape.
Wonder what the outside dimensions are?

They are a LOT bigger than a grey ......

Ive got a couple of blue flame sixes here. They are heap larger in size than a grey.
From 53 on they had pressure fed bearings. Prior to that they were splash fed.
As tim said there is nothing to gain fitting one.
They did hot these up as well back in the day. Ive got a fair bit of speed gear for them including a complete race engine out of a hill climb special.
Wayne horning made a cross flow head for them. They are as hard o get as a repco.
The later sixes went a lot better. I almost bought a racing one once with a duggan head and injection.
I was planning on running one of these engines in my 54 chev hardtop but the car is just sitting there and probably will never be done.
