Brisbane to Hervey Bay or Byron Bay to Hervey Bay?

Since a big number of cars will be going in the same direction (UP) to get there,
this would be a good chance for a super cruise with as many cars as possible meeting up somewhere for the last leg.

I haven't worked out any details yet but I had thought about getting there on Thursday evening and using Friday to chill before a big weekend. Trev.

I'm planning a 3 day trip up, and definitely planning to arrive on Thursday or even Wednesday. I'm gonna guess you SA blokes will be getting on the Newell at Wyalong. That would make, at least for people from Melbourne, a good day 1 first stop, and to join the convoy from SA. How does that sound?

Thommo, I think it depends on the day everyone intends to get to HB.

As I have said I was thinking of getting there on Thursday, but I could always stay 2 nights at the meet up place for the "mega cruise"

this talk is making me want to get one and go biggest problem would be keeping it for a year

My problem would be saving for fuel for the trip .Nah ute would get put on the back of my truck .That way the family could come and i tow my vintage van as well

I know of a shell servo at nudgee, which is on the gateway in Brisbane. Plenty of room for a stop and pick up Brisbane cars. (that's if your coming the coastal road) Could I tag along in the VE?
