Hi all ,

I now have this van and I'm going to finish it off and give it what it deserves. Beater starts next week, all running gear will be removed, it will be a big job. I will keep you up to date as it happens.
Look forward to talking to you at some stage.
Cheers
Clint. aka the badger

Looks like a good base to start on. It will be worth all the hard work at the end when you can stand back and say I built that :D can't wait to see the progress of this build!

Thanks walt I got it from some old hillbilly,
He did say it would be a long time before his
Stink is gone from this van. The main thing is it will
Be on the road here in Nz and when it's done
Andrew will have a smile on his bearded face. I just completed a full resto on
A eh ute didn't really want to do it all again to that extent now with a new baby
Time is short. Anyways take it easy. I even put the pic of the van upside down to
throw people off, damn didn't work
Cheers
Clint

Welcome to the forum Clint, say g'day to the hairy heap for me next time you see him - I would have loved to have bought that van off him before he moved but he said he would never sell it :(

Familiar van indeed! HE was a member on here but he hasn't posted in a long time. Great car to get your hands on Clint, and welcome to the fun.

Bugger me - my login still works here!
Gday all.
Yeah after more than ten years of owning this van - t'was time to release it back into the wild and let it be what it was meant to be. Its funny how life works out- moving to another country was not on the original agenda and life just got in the way of my projects as it does. I had my fun creating the van thus far but to find the funds and time to finish it in the next decade just wasn't gunna happen.

Clint has been a long time follower of Streetneat before I moved to NZ. Im no longer Streetneat - too busy fixing this place up. I love creating stuff so these days I don't care if its cars barns or old houses. I need a place to fix cars in more than a car that needs finishing. I gave myself 5 years to see where I'm at. The van spent most of that time sitting in its shipping container going rusty again. I figured Clint was just the right person to take up where I left off after I saw his awesome job on an EH Ute resto. Selling the van was never ever going to be a problem - letting it go to the right person was the challenge. I needed money for this place - the van needed a new home for finishing it off and Clint needed something unique that he could play with.

So why Clint? I live in NZ. I did want to see it in person being finished and even help out with advice and finger waving etc. Clint listens and is on my wavelength. Its his van not mine now so what happens to it is largely his decision. My loss his gain on the financial front - but its not about money. Its about letting the beast live as it should. The Van is its own entity - we are just its keepers.

Oh yeah - Prior to all this deal going down; Clint did give me his dead FE Body shell ( and most of what he had stripped of it for sale) so I can get my teeth into a smaller chopped up Holden project - the Holdenrod. ;-) Maybe it his generosity had something to do with letting him buy the van. But he is really a mean prick as he wont give up his NOS FC doorskin I need for my Holdenrod. He's just gunna torment me with two donated doors.
Bastard Badger.
