Front EH wheel cylinders.

Ive hit a bit of a wall putting EH drums on the front of my EK ute.

Are ute wheel cylinders different to sedan ones?

Rares list them separately, and the sedan ones are 85 bucks while the ute ones are 37 bucks.

My problem is that the new wheel cylinders that I already have wont fit my backing plates.

The round boss on the cylinders is about 2mm too large to fit through the backing plates.

I have a few questions.....

Would I have ute or sedan backing plates? (32mm hole)

Would I have ute or sedan wheel cylinders? (34mm boss)

Are there other differences I should be aware of?

The brakes are unboosted if that makes a difference.

All input appreciated.

Feel free to mention anything else that you know to be fact that I may need to know.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Wot,

I put EJ drums on the front of my EK. Not sure if EJ are the same as EH?

To use EJ I had to change the whole braking assembly including the steering arm over to EJ.

regards
Stewart
