From memory this was the very first prototype ek. They released this one before they came up with a roof design. I can't remember the chronology but there was this roofless one, a hell of a lot of models with rusty sills, there were the rusty sub frame units, rusty floor models, a plethora of buggered ones which could be left in paddocks and i think they turned out 6 black ones without any of the above options. You could refer to eBay sellers descriptions for more details.

I hink the doors are lengthened the problem is the parcel shelf needs to be moved forward and he bootlid lengthened.

the doors are definitely longer I think any longer and they would start to look silly, the windscreen and half the roof left on there is way to high and another thing and it was something I didn't like about mine they are to skinny

On things like the Chevs and other GM range. The Coupe was the only bodystyle with the short roof and long boot. The back seat was moved forward so heads cleared the rear windscreen.
On the convertibles They needed all the space for the folding top to drop down into. So the short boot was used and the forward position of the rear seats.

the skinny factor is why I don't like chunky custom grills the car is just not wide enough as per chev's / &*#@'s
what Harko has done to his would suit no roof and looks more proportioned fatter just my friendly opinion :)

Maybe the engineer requested the thick header panel above the front screen. The best feature I reckon is he kept the front vent windows on the doors.
