Sounds like its the perfect daily driver! Best of both worlds. But how long will you keep it for?

I think the V6 will be my next engine when the 186 gives up (no sign of that at the moment).
Love that Humpy

you'll be waiting a long time for a 186 to die

unless you constantly flog it and still then they're hard to kill
yeah the humpy's pretty cool the guy that ownes it has some pretty cool cars and the choice of a few things to drag race but this is his favorite hot red 6 triple 2" SUs, 3 speed syncro it's just plain fun

if it dont sell Mick you could pull all the running gear out of it and put it in the fb
going from the photo's the fb's a better body
then i reckon it would sell for 10k+ it would have that patina sleeper look wich is all the go at the moment
ps that dash and door handles are just hideous

that has been sujested swaping bodies the EK isn't that bad only has those few very minor rust spots that i don't think would even leave a hole if i picked at them, i'de seriously consider a body swap if i came across a half decent wagon or ute
yeah i'de never do the dash and door handles myself but could live with them it's all the painted chrome and the colour of the car that i hate

Sounds like but sure as hell not looks like a car you'd want to be seen in daily! With some work it could look great but as it sits......

I couldn't live with the dash though.
I'd like to v6 mine too one day, but I dare say I'll only go as far as the 186/4speed route...

i can live with the dash because i don't think it will be a simple fix it all works and i'de assume the original has been cut away to suit, i actually hate the EH guage pod more than the commodore facia

time will tell what happens with it as i said i've whacked it on ebay to see what happens
i think anybody contemplating a V6 would be better off going V8 just as much work (maybe even a little less) and the injected V8s are quite cheap to run, i'de actually love to see what a red 6 with the 4 speed auto conversion is like

its a bit gAy with the handles n all painted faggy and shit
the buick v6 is our new toy ,gone are the greys, reds too, super sad face.
plentiful supplys, revs the tits out of them ,boom ,gone ,$200 new engine
the days of reds have gone, that sucks,im not talking about that red sixes have gone forever
what im saying is new motors are better ,cheaper and have more power ,phuck nostalgia
good luck with it
