hydramatic gear selector bracket

Hi can any one tell me what holds the end of this bracket up its for the hydramatic
gear selector rods i know one end is attached to the side of the engine block via a pin / split pin
but there has to be something holding / suporting the other end of the bracket any info is good and
if some one with a hydramatic could post up pick up that would be great :thumbsup:

I got a hydramatic down the back soon as its not raining tomorrow ,I will take a photo for you ..........Fingers
