Painting speedo numbers

Hi guys

I'm trying to change my EK speedo to white background with black letters (to match some Autometer gauges I've brought). I've pulled the speedo apart & painted the white background - but how do I change the speedo numbers to black, given that they are luminous green recessed into the speedo cover "glass"? I've seen a few done on here so can anyone enlighten me please?

Cheers, Steve

Buy no name oven cleaner its mild ,spray on wait a minute and hose off.
A small art brush will go well replacing the paint
