Gents,

The PCD on Commodore and HQ were different - Commodore at 120mm (4.724") and HQ at 120.65mm (4.75"). Whilst they "fit" each other, they put a bending moment on the studs which can lead to failure under load. If you want to use one with the other, it is strongly reccomended that you offset drill the stud holes and use oversize studs to get the correct PCD.

Cheers,
Harv

Maybe the 13's are for a pimpin' HQ Monaro lowrider?

Sorry EK Amigo, couldn't resist. No offence intended.

Cheers,
Harv.

I doubt 13 inch rims would clear HQ brakes.

4 cylinder Commodes had 13"wheels but they were early Holden stud pattern , we used to use the diffs out of them for speedway cars as they were 3.9:1 ratio and put 6 cylinder axles in ém and toss the 4 cylinder axles out . Bit of a shame really as they are hard to find now and would be really handy for upgrades as the stud pattern would match.

no offence harv ,my ek has 14 Hq wheels ,just trying to lower the front a bit without too much effort, wot 179 might be right about the brakes anyway.
